Chocolate chip cookies...

If you’ve been searching for the perfect “Chocolate chip cookies” recipe look no further. This recipe is perfect in every way, now I have tried many recipes in my baking life and all of them have been quite pleasing but this recipe is just “that” perfect recipe. I came across it online a few months ago but had been putting it off due to the fact that the cookies I’m use to baking usually call for room temperature butter, so I was a bit hesitant in trying out how they would come out using melted butter. My review is, if you choose to make giant cookies they will taste exactly like the chocolate chip cookies sold at famous Coffee house’s, on the other hand if you choose to roll the dough into balls and press them down flat they will remind you of those lovely cookies sold at McDonald’s. This recipe makes “A whole lot of cookies” so beware pants SIZE.

Ingredients
4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (I use vanilla bean paste)
1 ½ cups melted butter
2 cups brown sugar (packed)
1 cup white sugar
2       2 eggs + 2 egg yolks
3 cups chocolate chips (you can use up to 4) or replace some with candy coated chocolates.

Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper, set aside.
In a large bowl sift the flour, baking soda, and salt, set aside.

In a separate bowl with an electric mixer, whisk the eggs and sugars until light and creamy in color. Stream in the melted butter along with the vanilla extract and mix until light in color and creamy. Carefully mix in the dry ingredients (leave 1 tablespoon behind to toss the chocolate chips) into the egg and sugar mixture just until combined, mix the chocolate chips with the reserved flour and toss to coat. Carefully fold in the chocolate chips until evenly combined.

-Giant coffee shop style cookies
Drop the cookie dough onto the pan 1 heaping (about 1/4 cup dough) tablespoon at a time, spacing them at least 3 inches apart and bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown. Cool on the baking sheet for 4 minutes before cooling completely on a wire rack.

-Mc Donald's copycat cookies
Roll 1 tablespoon of cookie dough that has been refrigerated for approximately 20 minutes into lime to golf ball size balls, press down with the bottom of a small plate until evenly flat. Bake for approximately 8 to 12 minutes or until the edges are light golden brown. Cool on the baking sheet for two minutes before cooling completely on a wire rack.
