Chocolate "Swirl" banana bread.

Banana bread is not only made in  my home when I have a few over ripped bananas sitting around. I make it quite often and try different recipes such as nuts, no nuts, raisins, chocolate chips, chocolate banana bread but this time I decided to make 2 in 1 Chocolate and plain banana bread all in one loaf Yumm. My son never eats plain OOO banana bread but once he seen the chocolate swirls he was game. :)

INGREDIENTS
1 3/4 cup (all purpose) flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup mashed banana
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoon cocoa powder

DIRECTIONS

Preheat your oven to 350*. Butter a non stick bread pan and dust with flour. Set aside.
In a med bowl sift together your flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream your butter and sugar until fluffy, add 1 egg at a time and continue to cream with hand mixer until the mix appears light and fluffy, add your vanilla and buttermilk, mix to combine.

divine your dry ingredients in 2 separate bowls, add 3 heaping tablespoons of cocoa powder to one bowl.

Evenly add half of the wet mix to your dry ingredients and mix to combine. Be careful not to over mix your batter or the bread will be rubbery.

Pour 1/2 of the white batter into your prepared pan following with 1/2 of your chocolate batter on top. Follow steps until all the batter has been poured into your pan. With your finger or spoon make a swirl on top of the batter.

Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center of your bread comes out clean.
