Trail mix...

Trail mix is considered an ideal snack food for hikes, because it is tasty, lightweight, easy to store, and nutritious, providing a quick boost from the carbohydrates in the dried fruit and/or granola, and sustained energy from the mono- and polyunsaturated fats in nuts. This very simple combination of nuts, dried fruits, and chocolates can be made to your liking, I personally love to combine tangy dried fruits with dark chocolate, hence the Blog banner.

2 cups whole almonds
2 cups cashews
3 cups dried cranberries
1 cup dark chocolate morsels (I use 70% cacao)

Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl, bag separately or store in an air tight container....

I LOVE LOVE LOVE trail mix and this one sounds great minus those cashews. The chocolate is a BIG plus.

I hate when I buy nuts and stuff here it always taste like Arabic coffee.
